    Movie review : No Problem

After No ENTRY, WELCOME and SINGH is KINNG, director Anees Bazmee continues his streak of slapstick comedies with NO PROBLEM. Just like the old movies, No Problem boasts a huge star cast. Most of the actors in No Problem like Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal have tickled our funny bones in their past films.

No Problem traces the story of two small time goons (Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Khanna) out of whom one wants to stop all the crime and start afresh but the other one tries his best to stop him as he continues to commit one crime after the other. Parsh Rawal plays the bank manager who is falsely accused of being the two criminals' accomplice. Suneil Shetty is an international don and Anil Kapoor plays the role of an incompetent cop whose wife, who is played by Sushmita Sen is a schizophrenic and she wants to kill him at least once in a day. Kangana Ranaut plays Sushmita's younger   sister who is the love interest of one of the two criminals.

All the characters are in the hunt of stolen diamonds that are worth trillions.Bazmee tries hard to tickle your fun bones until you burst out with the silly and stupid acts of the characters. It is all about a chaos created by all these characters in the film.

Movie review :Phas gaya re Obama

Director Subhash Kapoor, who has also written the film, proves that when you have a good script everything else falls in place. PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA is a very smartly written film which is executed with precision. It's not an out-n-out comedy, but is laden with many uproarious moments, making sure you are entertained throughout. It's basically situational comedy, which is very refreshing to see. The other thing that works majorly for the film is the characters. Even though Om's passing continues from one gang to the other, the narrative is alive due to the superb characteriaztion. Even the zany dialogues are finely written. The ingenious twist in the climax is sure to leave a wide smile on your face.

Rajat Kapoor plays his part brilliantly. Manu Rishi has an impeccable comic timing and is best of the lot. Sanjay Mishra is too good as the underworld gang head. Neha Dhupia fails to impress as the gundi. She lacks the rawness and the fright element which is a must for a bad character. Amol Gupte performs very well. PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA is an outstanding film that perhaps even Barack Obama would enjoy. It's black comedy at its best!

Set in the recession-hit period of 2008, PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA is about NRI Om Shastri (Rajat Kapoor), who has lost almost everything due to the global meltdown. His condition is so precarious that he has been asked to vacate his home by the bank unless he pays up $100,000 (mortgaged amount) within 30 days. Unable to find any other solution, he returns to India to sell his ancestral property. But soon after he arrives in India, he is kidnapped by an underworld gang, who are also facing the brunt of recession. They feel that he is a millionaire. When the gang realises that it can't get any ransom from Om, one of the gang members Ani (Manu Rishi) comes up with the idea of exchanging Om with a senior gang for money. Even Om agrees, on the condition of getting 50% of the amount. This trick is even used by the second gang who pass Om to 'female Gabbar Singh', Munni (Neha Dhupia).

    Movie Review :Toonpur Ka Superhero

    Toonpur Ka Superhero

    Genre: Animation, adventure
    Director: Kireet Khurana
    Producer: Kumar Mangat
Banner: Eros International, Big Screen Entertainment
    Music Director: Anu Malik
    Lyricist: Munna Dhiman
Star Cast: Ajay Devgan, Kajol Devgan, Tanuja Chandra, Sanjay Mishra

Christmas is a good time to release a movie for children because both the kids and parents are off work. And Toonpur ka Superhero aims to plug the benefits of the season. Relatively higher budgeted than the regular children's movies that are made in India, it also has an appealing storyline apart from the fact that it is the first Indian live action animation.

Ajay Devgan is back to action movies with this flick. Aditya (Ajay Devgan) is a reel life hero. He accidentally lands into Toonpur, the land of cartons where he eventually transforms into a real life hero. Toonpur is divided into two groups, Devtoons and Toonasurs. Devtoons are the good guys of Toonpur while Toonasurs are the bad guys. Both the groups are at constant war with each other. With the entry of super action hero, Aditya, Devtoons decide to seek his help and take him to Toonpur. But things do not turn out as simple for Devtoons as they had thought. Toonasurs have something big in hand.

Talking about the characters, Ajay delivers a challenging yet convincing performance, while child artist Amey is highly appreciable. Kajol appears in a short yet admiring role. But, it’s the animated characters that steal the show. Hats off to the director  for creating the lively characters. A real star, indeed! On the whole, ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ perfectly blends amazing animation with old-fashioned values and presents a full-fledged family entertainer. Though the movie may not truly delight the adults, it makes a sure-shot kiddie treat. Sit back and admire your Bollywood’s entry into animation, a new territory yet to be discovered!

Movie Review - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows : Hello Friends please have a look on my review on harry potter series and please leave a comment and tell us that you like the movie and what is your opinion about this review.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 is a film full of curiosity. Some parts are stretched and dull but the other sequences are also very gripping and emotional. Director David Yates and writer Steve Kloves have split JK Rowling’s sprawling and intricate last book into two films. So this one has no discernible narrative arc or climax and feels instead like a set-up.
The heroes – Harry played by Daniel Radcliffe, Ron played by Rupert Grint and Hermione played by Emma Watson – are no longer in the protective confines of Hogwarts, the school of magic and wizardry. Their beloved headmaster Dumbledore is dead. The Ministry of Magic has been taken over by ultra-conservative, neo-Fascist leaders and Voldermort’s followers are on the rise. This is a dark world, with little cheer or love to break the atmosphere of relentless gloom. At one point, even the three friends, exhausted, desperate and horrifically sad, tear into each other.

This is the dreariest Harry Potter movie yet but what’s more problematic is, that it’s also the most arcane. Viewers who haven’t read the books or seen all the previous films will be lost in the complex plot, which involves the search for Horcruxes which are objects into which Voldemort has hidden parts of his soul and the search for the Deathly Hallows, three objects which make the person who possesses them death-proof.There are of course several almost fatal attacks by the dark side and just as many escapes. These action scenes are nicely orchestrated—there is a real suspense and sense of danger—but after a while, the pattern becomes predictable

What’s more interesting is the human emotion and interaction between the three friends including a not-in-the-book scene, in which Harry and Hermione dance together, even as death surrounds them. These actors, who have literally grown up in front of us, have wholly become these characters and yet, their acting doesn’t have enough heft, to support the almost static mid-section of the film. At no point does their predicament devastate you. Eventually then, Harry Potter is grim business—children under ten will find it very scary—but check it out anyway as preparation for the last film, which you will have to see, even if it’s only to give the world’s most successful film franchise, closure.

Movie Review - Tees Maar Khan

Tees Maar Khan directed by Farah Khan and is starred by Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. This starrer is making waves across the world. The buzz of the film is pretty strong due to heavy promotions, with Sheila ki Jawani already being a chart buster.

This movie is about a boy who has a great impact of his mother watching criminal movies that since the time he is born, he starts stealing things. He is a very shameless and fearless guy who doesn't listen to anyone but himself. Along with his gang he steals everything with great skill. Even the police find it very difficult to keep him ensnared for long. He has a very stubborn girlfriend who wants to become a top actress. One day, Johri Brothers who were international antique smugglers assign him the biggest task of his life. The job was to rob some antiques of 500 crores from a moving train. He pretends to be a director from Hollywood and convinces a Bollywood superstar Aatish Kapoor, played by Akshay Khanna, to work with him.

In this movie although, everyone is overacting as though life depends on it. There is a lot of screaming, grimacing and heaving. Tees Maar Khan springs to life in its song sequences. Farah continues to be the consummate choreographer. So, Sheila ki Jawani has a superb, infectious energy. This movie, however is not a happy ending for you as a viewer as the cast and crew tried their best to make the film a hit but its monotonous story ruined it.

    Golmaal 3 : Movie review

    Golmaal 3

    Cast & Crew
: Ajay Devgan, Mithun Chakraborty, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee

    Director: Rohit Shetty

The 2006 release of Golmaal created a rage in Hindi cinema, with fans forming lines outside the theater to watch the rip roaring blockbuster, the sequel (Golmaal Returns) too was met with great response and this Diwali the comedy king is making way with the third part of the series Golmaal 3, whether this one is the bigger hit than the previous ones let’s find out. Though Action Replayy, which released alongside G3 goes in a backward swing by recreating the seventies era, Golmaal too draws its inspiration from there only.

Ratna Pathak plays the role of an unmarried mother of two, Ajay Devgn and Shreyas Talpade, Pappu (Mithun) is an unmarried father of three children, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, and Kunal Khemu, both Ratna and Mithun had a past which resurfaces when they meet after several years. Kareena Kapoor plays the cupid who reunites the old couple despite knowing that their kids are always at loggerheads with each other. How they come together follows series of gags and deliberate attempts to appear comic.

The film has an imbecile plot and nonsensical screenplay, the moment gags go missing from the story the film starts trudging along, music by Pritam is loud and ruckus however going by previous credentials, Golmaal 3 will probably make you laugh but the quality of the series is deteriorating movie after movie.

One of the jokes that’s got seriously old is Tusshar, who is back at acting dumb again. By that I mean he makes the weirdest of noises, pulls the strangest of faces, squeals and screeches, and manages to be supremely communicative only to Arshad and Kunal. These three are at loggerheads with Ajay and Shreyas for no good reason, other than giving both sides a chance to growl at each other, and for Mr Devgn to indulge in his favourite trick in this film : he likes breaking fingers which are shaken at him.

If you enjoyed watching GOLMAAL and GOLMAAL RETURNS, chances are you'll like GOLMAAL 3. It's a funny but capricious ride.

    Eclipse: Movie review

    Eclipse:
The Twilight Saga had finally found its footing with Eclipse, the third film of the blockbuster series. The actors are obviously comfortable and know their characters well, but with Eclipse a few of the minor characters of Twilight and New Moon are given their chance to spend a few minutes in the spotlight. And with the third film, theaction is taken to a different, grittier and much more realistic level.

Bella's ready to give up living and breathing for an eternity with Edward, Edward's still not convinced Bella's making the right decision, and Jacob's positive Bella's not thinking straight as the action of Eclipse kicks off. And while all teen vampire/werewolf/human love triangle stuff is keeping the threesome occupied in Forks, nearby Seattle's been hit by what appears to be a ruthless serial killer. But we know, and the Cullens shortly figure out, that it's actually an army of newborn vampires on the prowl. Who created them and for what purpose - those are the important questions the Cullens need to figure out. It doesn't take them long to determine vampires are behind all the dead people turning up in Seattle. They can't just sit back and let innocent people die - and let the Seattle killings draw the Volturi close to Forks - so they plan a roadtrip to the city to see if they can take care of the situation.

However, a roadtrip becomes unnecessary when Alice peers into the future and sees the newborns will be coming to Forks in just a few days time. The short notice worries the vegetarian vampires, as does the sheer size of the newborn army, but an unlikely ally turns up in the form of the wolf pack. Jacob offers up the wolves' help and while this isn't something Edward particularly wants - why give Jacob another reason to hang out with Bella? - it's the only logical solution. After all, if you were forced into battle against out-of-control crazy new vampires with superhero strength and your only chance of coming out of the fight without losing a few members of your sparkly vampire family, wouldn't you turn to the neighborhood werewolves for help?

Despite the wolves and a few other minor issues, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is easily the best of the Twilight pack thus far. It's got just the right mix of action, drama, humor (something completely lacking from the first two films), and romance, it's beautifully shot, swiftly paced, and proves the old adage that the third time is indeed the charm.

    Inception -Movie Review

It’s that time… time for all of you to go out and experience Inception. Some of you may have seen the film, others not,I have tried my best to keep any and all spoilers out of this review while still talking about the film as a whole. If you haven’t seen it,you should be fairly safe, if you have, there’s plenty for you to argue with me about as this is a rather massive review to reflect my enormous opinion about it.

Christopher Nolan is one of the most visionary filmmakers working today and his new film, Inception, is a stunning achievement that raises the bar for original film making. It challenges the boundaries of cinematic language and expands the conceptual and thematic dimensions of the narrative art form. Nolan, who has always been fascinated with the subject of dreams and the extraordinary potential of the imagination, wrote Inception over a decade ago but was only able to make it after the success of Dark Knight propelled him to the forefront of A-list directors.

Inception is a highly entertaining, complex and cerebral thriller about a surreal world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion and a single idea within one's mind can be the most dangerous weapon or the most valuable asset. Despite its outlandish premise, the central theme of the story is both personal and universal. At its emotional core is the tragic story of one man’s quest to uncover a long-buried truth and get back home to what he loves most.

Leonardo DiCaprio anchors the film with a low key, intense performance as Dom Cobb, a skilled thief and coveted player in the dangerous world of high stakes corporate espionage. With a reputation for being the best extractor in the business, he is the guy if you’re in the market for stealing valuable secrets. His rare talent for extracting information from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable, has also turned him into an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. He is filled with regret, plagued by unresolved guilt and haunted by the memory of his late wife, Mal (Marion Cotillard), who invades his subconscious and messes with his mind in dangerous ways.

The film was shot on location in six countries on four separate continents. It includes enormous sets and impressive sequences.Inception is an intelligent, imaginative and highly original sci-fi actioner that’s hugely entertaining and proves there are no rules for what the mind can create. Christopher Nolan demonstrates once again that he is an extraordinary filmmaker and delivers a compelling film that is very fresh, very different and also quite personal. Inception promises to be one of the hottest tickets this summer.
